- Most OEM manufacturer recommend that you replace your rubber brake lines every 2 to 3 years. Why do the OEM’s recommend this? Over time OEM rubber lines deteriorate rapidly due to expansion and UV damage. This leads to increased braking distances and possible failure.
Installation:
- Designed for 2017–2025 models with Brembo calipers using Spiegler’s alternate routing method
- No distribution block — each brake line runs directly from the master cylinder to its caliper
- Install the supplied double banjo bolt (right-side line first, then left-side) and route lines straight down to the calipers
Spiegler brake lines are made using only the finest materials:
- Torsion Fitting System allows for 360 degree rotation of banjo fitting for correct alignment
- Tight weave stainless steel braid eliminates line swell, providing better performance and consistent feel
- DuPont™ Teflon® PTFE lining reduces line expansion and provides greater durability
- Crimp sleeves are high grade stainless steel offering better durability and longevity
- All lines are DOT approved, providing quality assurance and peace of mind
Testing and Research:
High-Pressure Test - Forces brake fluid into lines and fittings to measure the ability of Spiegler Brake Lines to exceed DOT standards.
Tensile Strength Test - Attempts to pull apart brake lines and fittings to measure the strength of our materials and construction. This test convinced us that we could lift a bike using just one brake line and fitting.
Whip Test - Spins a brake line and fitting for hours and hours to ensure its ability to withstand years of use on the road or the track.
