SEE BROCK'S PERFORMANCE RESPONSE BELOW ---- The clutch mod works great, my 04 shifts like butter now no more banging into gears whether street or launch. 4 stars because this website fails to mention that you should also install a clutch slave cylinder support bracket in addition to the mod to compensate for the increased spring tension. Not sure if it’s because they don’t offer one or what but I would have liked to know. Downshifts for engine braking are more aggressive now, supposedly the brace also helps to deter any damage from this to the soft covers of the gen1. I used an ape brace from Schnitz. I’m no genius mechanic though, maybe it’ll be fine without it and I’m just d**b ----------- Thank you for your feedback, Robert. In our experience, the minimal spring pressure increase from installing the Ultra-Mod is not enough to create the need for a clutch slave support. That said, the cover is rather fragile and easily broken due to clutch pusher creep during installation – creating a bind that snaps the cover…usually as soon as the lever is pulled in after install. The Clutch Cushion Kit, on the other hand, does require a slave support, which is noted in the Product Details Tab.

Hayabusa Clutch Mod
Installation was easy and works greats, 1 thing to note is that the clutch lever will be stiffer but it's not terrible at all, it helps the clutch clamp harder for those hard dig launches. The clutch mod is significantly lighter so there will be a increase in rotational speed equaling into more power and torque to the wheel 10 out of 10 highly recommend and worth every penny.

We don't know why we waited so long to order this. We run stock wheelbase in the quarter and this made the clutch 10x more predictable. You will not be disappointed.
